Simply Majestic Highlights TBBCF

Mystic jeweler is designing pieces with cure for cancer in mind

Suzette Tibus, owner of Simply Majestic in Mystic and a community powerhouse, is celebrating five years of being cancer free and donating a portion of sales from her new signature line of jewelry to the Terri Brodeur Breast Cancer Foundation.

Last year, Tibus held a Pink Pearl promotion in the fall and donated $600 to TBBCF. This year, she created the Simply Majestic by Suzette collection of jewelry with interchangeable pieces that inspires strength, independence, beauty and femininity. A portion of the proceeds from pieces that feature pink stones will be donated to TBBCF. She is also continuing the Pink Pearl collection, and again will direct a portion of sales to TBBCF.

More than 100 people attended a launch party for the new collection on April 18 at the store at 59 Williams St., Mystic.

There are a lot of organizations looking for donations, so why did she choose TBBCF?

“It’s because 100 percent of the money goes to breast cancer research,” said Tibus, who five years ago was diagnosed with breast cancer and had a bilateral mastectomy.
